The first meeting - The first step towards the child you have been wishing for

The first step towards the child you have been wishing for is a detailed initial consultation. Please bring any previous medical results and findings with you. The results of the investigations may help us in understanding your situation and to discuss it with you. Ideally your findings should be no older than six months.

The cost of an initial medical consultation is € 150.

If you have already carried out all the necessary examinations for fertility treatment and have the corresponding findings, we can discuss and define your treatment plan directly at the first consultation.

If you have no findings, we will discuss all necessary examinations with you and will gladly carry them out with you at the WUNSCHKIND-Klinik.

At the first meeting, we always carry out an ultrasound examination on the woman. In addition, we will need the following investigations to assess your situation and as a basis for your treatment plan:

  1. blood tests
    • Hormone status (carried out between the 1st and 7th day of bleeding): FSH, LH, estradiol, prolactin, testosterone, progesterone, TSH, TPO-AK, AMH
    • Vitamins: 25-OH-vitamin D
    • Antibody determination rubella-specific IgG antibodies, VZV IgG antibodies (chickenpox) or vaccination records if you have received rubella / VZV vaccinations.
    • Blood coagulation: APC resistance (this finding has no "expiration date" and can therefore be older than six months)
    • blood group identification (this finding has no "expiration date" and can therefore be older than six months)
  2. gynecological examination
    • smears: PAP test (= cancer smear),

Additionally, if you have medical or surgical reports, histological findings and / or information about your current medication, please also bring copies of these.

  1. blood tests
  2. Semen analysis: a current spermiogram according to WHO criteria 2010. For IVF-fund patients, two spermiograms no older than two years are required.

Additionally, if you have medical or surgical reports, histological findings and / or information about your current medication, please also bring copies of these.
