Checklist initial conversation

The first step to the desired child is a detailed initial discussion. If you already have findings, please bring them with you. The results of the investigation help us to clarify your situation and to discuss it with you. It is important that your findings are not older than six months.

If you have already carried out all the necessary examinations for fertility treatment and have the corresponding findings, we can discuss and define your treatment plan directly at the first consultation.

If you have no findings, we will inform you about all necessary examinations and will gladly carry them out with you in the WUNSCHKIND-Klinik.

At the first meeting, we carry out an ultrasound examination of the woman anyway. In addition, we need these findings for the analysis of your situation and as a basis for your treatment plan:

For the woman

1. blood collection
   • Hormone status (decreased between the 1st and 7th day of bleeding): FSH, LH, estradiol, prolactin, testosterone, progesterone, TSH, TPO-AK, AMH
   • Vitamins: 25-OH-vitamin D
   • Antibody determination or vaccination record copy if rubella / VZV vaccinations have been performed: rubella-specific IgG antibodies, VZV IgG antibodies (chickenpox / wet leaves)
   • Blood coagulation: APC resistance (this finding has no "expiration date" and can therefore be older than six months)
   • blood group identification or identification (this finding has no "expiration date" and can therefore be older than six months)
2. gynecological examination
   • smears: PAP test (= cancer smear),

For the man

Mrs:

• Did you already have genital diseases?
• Have you been operated on in the abdomen?
• Do you have a chronic condition (such as diabetes, hypertension, thyroid dysfunction, rheumatism)?
• Did you have radiation or chemotherapy?
• Did you prevent with a pill or spiral? Which? For which period? How did you tolerate them?
• How long has your partnership been?
• How long is your desire for a child in this partnership? Did you already have a wish for a child in another partnership?
• Have you already tried treatment? Which?
• Has the patency of the fallopian tubes been checked?
• At what age did you start the rule?
• How many days do you have a menstrual period? How long does it take?
• How are you during menstruation?
• Have you already been pregnant? When and with what result (births, abortions, ectopic pregnancy)?

Man:

• Have you ever been affected or operated on in the genital area (undescended testicles, inguinal hernia, varicose veins in the scrotum)?
• Are your testes in childhood temporarily "disappeared in the abdomen"(Ho the high altitude, pendulum testicles)?
• Did you have mumps after sexual maturity?
• Does your relationship have cystic fibrosis?
